The last 20 of this batch had 9 pens that we put aside that needed an interior touch up. Since then we've sold a few directly at pen shows, but have the remaining four pieces released again here. The Silver Dragon was the first in our three part dragon series. 

Years ago we did a project with the Model 01 producing the IPO Diamondback maki-e model. The maki-e artwork was done by Katsunobu Nishihara. Here we finally returned to begin Franklin-Christoph maki-e anew with the Model 03 Silver Dragon - artwork also produced by our friend Mr. Nishihara. The original design submitted by Scott Franklin, Mr. Franklin and Mr. Nishihara worked together on this project. There were only be 51 numbered pieces produced on this modified (cap) version of the Model 03.

• Limited to 51 signed pieces. 

• Produced with hand applied platinum powder, mother of pearl diamonds, and a dark maroon dragon's eye. 

• 6 layers of urushi in dragon work. (Hira Maki-e style)

• Available with your choice of Franklin-Christoph #6 nib

These last sold starting at $850 with steel nib up to $940 with gold nib.
