Overview
Rust-Oleum Universal Metallic paint is ideal for the renovation of most household items including furniture, homewares, ornaments, picture frames and so much more. This quick-drying, water-based finish offers superb adhesion and can be used in both internal and external applications. No primer is necessary it can be applied directly to wood, metal, plastics, ceramics, laminates, and MDF.

Preparation
Ensure the surface to be painted is sound and free from dust, dirt and any contaminates.
- Clean with detergent to remove any oil, grease and all other surface contaminates.
- Remove any loose rust by scraping with a wire brush or sanding.
- Lightly abrade UPVC and remove any dust and wipe with methylated spirit.
- Non-ferrous or galvanised metals use prior to application.
- For stain blocking such as nicotine and tannin bleed prime first with .
Application
Always ensure to perform a test patch to ensure suitability. we recommend that the temperature is between 10°C - 32°C.
- Stir the product thoroughly before use to ensure consistant colour.
- Apply using a brush or short pile mohair roller.
- When using a roller lay off immediately with a brush.
- For porous surfaces dilute the first coat with 10% water.
- Apply 1-2 coats as needed, allowing 16 hours between coats.
- Touch dry in 1 hour, full hardness will be achieved after 7 days.
